What Can I Expect When I Contact You?
You can reach out via email or by leaving a voicemail. I’ll return your inquiry to offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation, providing you the opportunity to share information about yourself and ask any preliminary questions. If both parties feel it is a good fit, we will proceed with a 60-minute intake session. During this session, we will gather your clinical history, clarify your treatment objectives, and collaboratively plan subsequent sessions as desired.
Do You Offer In-Person Sessions?
Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual session.
My office is located at 2570 N. Jerusalem Rd. Suite 303 in North Bellmore, NY.
Clients can expect a secure, private setting to explore their thoughts and emotions, using the same therapeutic approaches whether they see me in person or virtually.
How Do I Know If It’s a Good Fit?
A good fit often includes feeling that the therapist is genuinely engaged, nonjudgmental and curious about your experiences. You should also feel free to ask questions about their approach and how they might support your goals. While it’s normal to feel a bit nervous at first, trust your instincts about whether the connection feels collaborative and supportive.
Do You Prescribe Medication?
No, psychologists do not prescribe medication in New York and Pennsylvania. However, I am happy to provide referrals to trusted psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners should you wish to explore medication consultations.
What Does Therapy Cost?
Intake sessions (60 minutes)- $225
Individual and Couples Session (45 minutes)- $200
Do You Accept Insurance?
I am in-network with some but not all insurance plans. For a list of in-network plans please refer to this link: Headway Profile
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill or assist with submissions for potential reimbursement.
If you have questions about your coverage, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am committed to helping you navigate your benefits, maximize your plan’s value and will advocate on your behalf from the start.
How Long Does Therapy Take?
The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients engage in short-term work focused on specific objectives, while others prefer longer-term therapy for ongoing support and accountability. I recommend starting with weekly sessions to facilitate progress. Once immediate goals are met, many clients transition to biweekly or monthly appointments to maintain gains and continue personal exploration.
What Do I Need To Participate In Virtual Therapy Sessions?
You will need a reliable internet connection, a private and quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly and a device with a camera and microphone (such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer). Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, and you’ll receive a link before each appointment.
Therapy requires your full attention and a private, distraction-free environment where you can engage openly and reflect without risk. If you’re in your car and parked in a quiet location, that can sometimes be an appropriate setting, especially if privacy at home is a concern. In that case, please ensure you’re stationary for the duration of the session.
